SnailEvoLab specializes in evolutionary biology and genomics, using marine snails as study systems. Our research aims to understand the evolutionary mechanisms that shape biodiversity generation.

SnailEvoLab is part of the Parent Research Group XB2 – Evolutionary Genetics and Biodiversity Conservation Group from University of Vigo.

The XB2 group is also hosted by the Marine Research Centre (CIM) at the Universidade de Vigo, a leading marine research hub in Galicia.

Our laboratories are located on the Vigo campus, within the Faculty of Biology, and are integrated into the CIM research infrastructure.

All open positions are advertised through the Marine Research Centre (CIM) job portal, which lists vacancies for research groups based at CIM, including XB2.​
